What material are these tea towels made from?
Our tea towels are made from 100% French flax linen — the same premium fabric as our tablecloths and napkins. Each towel includes a fabric hanging tab so it can be displayed as easily as it is used.
How absorbent are linen tea towels?
Linen is naturally highly absorbent — more so than cotton — and it dries quickly, making it excellent for use in the kitchen. As a non-lint material, it's also ideal for drying glassware and polishing surfaces without leaving residue.
Do linen tea towels soften with washing?
Yes — linen becomes noticeably softer and more absorbent with each wash. Fresh out of the pack they have a pleasingly crisp texture; after a few uses and washes they feel wonderfully supple and perform even better.
How do I care for linen tea towels?
Machine wash cold or warm (up to 40°C) with a gentle detergent. Tumble dry on low or line dry. Do not bleach. Linen may look naturally relaxed and slightly creased — this is part of the character of the material, not a flaw.
Can I use these as napkins or for table styling?
Absolutely — their generous 55cm x 75cm size makes them versatile beyond the kitchen. Use them folded as oversized napkins, draped through a napkin ring for a relaxed tablescape, or laid flat as a casual table runner. Their neutral linen tones complement any table setting.
